Terms and Conditions

1. Who We Are

The store is owned by Al Karam Retail Company for Fresh and Preserved Fruits, Vegetables and Dates (With Limited Liability), commercial registration no. 506362, license no. 2025/4297, State of Kuwait, referred to below as “Al Karam” or “we”.

2. Eligibility

To place an order you must be 18 or older, or place it with the knowledge and consent of your guardian.

3. Products and Prices

1. All prices are in Kuwaiti Dinar and are shown before you confirm your order.
2. Dates and fresh dates are natural products. Their color, size and shape may differ slightly from the images, and this is not a defect. Packaging or box design may also differ slightly.
3. Products are subject to stock availability and some are seasonal. Prices and offers may change without prior notice, which does not affect an order already confirmed.
4. If a clear error appears in a product’s price or description, we may correct it, notify you before processing, and let you cancel or amend the order with a refund of any amount paid.

4. Placing and Accepting Orders

1. The minimum order is 5 Kuwaiti Dinar (delivery fees excluded).
2. Your order is accepted when the confirmation message reaches you. We may decline or cancel an order if a product is unavailable or fraud is suspected, with a refund of any amount paid.
3. You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact and address details you enter.

5. Payment

We accept KNET, Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay, and cash on delivery, as available at the time of the order. Online payments are processed through a secure payment gateway and we do not keep your card details. See the Delivery and Payment page for details.

6. Delivery and Pick-up

The delivery policy published on the website applies. Delivery fees vary by governorate and are shown before payment, and we do not ship outside the State of Kuwait. Instead of delivery, you may collect your order from one of our pick-up points.

7. Cancelling an Order

After payment you may cancel by contacting customer service before we start preparing your order, stating the reason for cancellation. Amounts paid are refunded to the same payment method within the refund periods in the Return Policy.

8. Returns and Exchanges

The Return and Exchange Policy published on the website applies. You may return a sealed, non-perishable package in its original condition within 14 days of receipt.

9. Storage, Shelf Life and Allergens

1. The production and expiry dates and storage method are written on the package, and shelf life differs from product to product.
2. Some products need refrigeration and some are seasonal, which is stated on the product page.
3. Some of our products contain nuts, sesame or wheat (gluten), and may contain traces of them because they are prepared and packed in a shared environment. The customer must read the product details before buying, especially if they or a family member has a food allergy.

10. Product Claims: “Natural” and “Organic”

The word “organic” or “natural” in the names of some of our products indicates that the dates are bought from farms which state that they grow them without using pesticides. It does not mean the product holds an official organic certification from a certifying body. We state this for transparency.

11. Offers and Free Gifts

Offers such as “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” or “Free Coffee” apply as written on the offer page, within the announced quantity and period. When an order that includes a free gift is returned, the gift is returned with the full order.

12. Intellectual Property

The “Al Karam” name, logo, images, texts and designs on the website belong to us or are licensed to us, and may not be copied or used commercially without our prior written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

We bear our legal responsibility for the products and service as the law provides. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages beyond our control, including internet outages, general failures or force majeure, except where the law does not allow exclusion.

14. Wholesale, Corporate and Occasion Orders

We offer special prices and quantities for companies, occasions and corporate gifts. To contract, write to us on WhatsApp or by email. These orders are subject to a quotation and a separate written agreement.

15. Amendments

We may amend these terms. An amendment takes effect from its publication on the website and does not affect orders confirmed before it.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and the courts of the State of Kuwait have jurisdiction.
